About PJ Eiden

I grew up in the lakes region of Minnesota.  A pine forest rich with clear lakes and sandy beaches. Each summer and most weekends people from across the Midwest flock to the region to escape, refresh, and be inspired.  I believe everyone has a story.  We tell them when gathered around a fireplace, from the seat of a boat, or are captivated by them in a great book or through paintings. This region has generations of stories to tell.  It’s my mission to share some of the intrigue of that rich history.

My Passions

I’ve always been a fan of the outdoors.  Anything to do with a boat is generally a plus.  A canoe, a kayak, a sailboat, fishing boat, or a pontoon ride at sunset with family will do.  It recharges me and clears my mind.  I love to travel too.  National parks, state parks, rivers, the forest, hills, and mountains, provide great settings.  Wildlife and photography add to the adventure.  Writing and painting are passions.  Winters are long in the upper Midwest.  If I can’t be outdoors on cross-country skis or skating on a smooth lake with first of the season ice, I’ll have a paint brush in my hand.  Watercolors, acrylics, and oils- Each have their place , I don’t look at spectacular sunrises or sunsets the same anymore.  Now I can’t help but think about ways to capture the splendor.
